SLOVAK OPEN 2011 (ENGLISH VERSION)

Slovak Open, as part of the ITSF Master Series, is the biggest international tournament organized in Slovakia. Tournament takes place in Trnava, about 40 km away from the Bratislava Airport and 80 km from Vienna Airport. Thirteen competitions will be played in 3 days, including open, women, junior and fun events. And also this year we organize extra the national teams competition. Expected prize money is more than 1.100 € + entry fees. A lot of players from all over the world are expected to attend the tournament.

Tournament can be played by every registered, non-registered or amateur player as well as the audience.

Presentation for every competition ends one hour before its beginning. We recommend registering for all competitions at the start of each playing day.

The trophy ceremonies start right after the end of a particular event. In case of lack of time, all trophies will be awarded on Saturday and Sunday at 10:30 am, before the official start of a playing day.

REGISTRATION FEE IS 6,00 € AND FOR FUS MEMBERS IS 3,00 €

Registration fee includes organization, table and referee fee. This fee must be paid by every registered player, except for players registered only in Amateur doubles competition.

To be considered junior, player has to be born in 1993 or later.

Amateur doubles competition is eligible for Slovak players only.

PLAYING SYSTEM

All main competitions are played as best of 5 in winner’s bracket, each set to 5 with 2 goal difference (max. 8) in final set. Losers’ bracket is played as best of 3, as well as all women and junior competitions in both brackets.

Every other competition is double or single k.o.. The playing system will be announced at the beginning of each competition.

According to number of players and possible lack of time, the playing system of all competitions can be changed.

NATIONAL TEAMS COMPETITION

The national team consist of 6 men and 2 women. You can have 1+1 spare players and minimum are 5 players in one team.

Competiotion will be played as single K.O. elimination. The system is similar to Nations cup 2009. So the match consist of 3 men's singles, 1 women's singles and 3 men's doubles and 1 women's doubles. In case of draw the teams will play final extra doubles.

All teams must send their registration to fus@foosball.sk by 31st March 2011.

PLAYERS’ RANKING

All players in all competitions (except for amateur doubles) are seeded exclusively according to particular ITSF ranklist (Open, Women or Junior) using player’s better position in singles or doubles. In mixed doubles competition, women players are seeded according to women ITSF ranklist.

PRIZE MONEY

The prize money in open events will be paid until the 13^th place. In all other events, prize money will be paid until the 9^th place. The overall tournament subsidy is 1.116 € (plus entry fees).

Trophies will be given to 3 best players / teams in all events.

Over 200 players are expected to addentd the tournament.
